Happy Belated Valentine’s Day.  Dogbook conducted a survey and this question (and the subsequent responses) cracked me up, because it’s so true!

Question: Who do you love more, your dog or your spouse?

Dogbook surveyed 1,022 people in the last 12 hours and 82.6% said they love their dog more than their spouse. 17.4 % chose spouse.

Here are the comments Dogbook received in their feed…

Brandon Gibbs: You promise my dogs won’t find out how I voted? Haha!

Kathi Generalovich Streasick: The current results don’t surprise me, your dog won’t leave you for someone younger! Lol

Sweetie Poncho Lulu: My dog as they don’t judge or ask for anything but love and respect …..

Ted Behn: I love my dogs more than any of my wives.

Anita Woods: no brainer – i cried for 3 days when i had to re-home my dog after separating – when my husband left i opened the wine!

Alex Day: hmmm, depends on the day. spouse starts off #1 every morning, but many days my dog ends up #1

How to Enter: To celebrate the love we have for our dogs, I’m hosting 2 giveaways this weekend and they’re easy to enter.  The second one is for a $50 certificate to Poochie HeavenAll you have to do is head on over to their site, browse around, then come back and tell me what you would buy for $50.

Right now, I’m all about the dog coats.  Just fascinated by them, but Poochie Heaven has loads more – dog beds, dog dishes, grooming products, dog crates, and more so have fun over there!

This contest is open to US Residents only (sorry to my International friends).  You must be 18 years or older to enter.  Winner to be chosen randomly on Friday, February 22.  Poochie Heaven will arrange the $50 certificate with the winner.

This giveaway is now closed.  The winner is Linda D and she has been notified.  Thank you to everyone who participated.

For my 3 chocolate lab nephews I would get one of the It’s My Birthday Collars (they would have to share) and probably a durable play toy (stuffed animals don’t last very long around here!).

I really need a harness for my new Chi rescue. I have never had a small dog before so I am learning still. I found Hot Pink Buddy Belt Harness on Poochie Heaven and think that is just what I need.

Well, Chloe the shih tzu has almost everything she could need to be a comfortable pup. We already have the car seat/safety harness, 2 comfy beds (one for at home and one for camping) and all the toys she could ever want. She also has a variety of coats for colder winter days and keeping her dry, including one that her nana made just for her. We would probably want to spend a gift certificate on the doggie luggage since we are constantly on the road and right now her suitcase consists of a reusable grocery bag :)

Moses, my Newfoundland, is spoiled rotten! He loves his toys! He has a lot but that does not stop his mommy from buying. Moses has “Bark for the Cure” coming up and he needs a new collar and leash to wear….he must have new. I love this boy!

  7. Ann Paws Says:

They have a ton of cute dog clothes… I love the tutus, although I’m not sure Shiner really needs one… Maybe I would get her one of their interactive dog toy puzzles. Or a new doggy bowl!

Wow so many great things to buy for $50 it’s hard to choose. The interactive dog toys look interesting, or the single raised feeder is something my dog could use. Even all the fancy dog treats would be perfect.

Dakota the Corgi has a thick soft coat for the mild Central Texas winters, so although the coats are adorable, she doesn’t need one. I would love to buy her a pretty collar and some interactive toys to keep her busy, should she win the gift certificate.
