Homemade Dog Food Recipes: My Best Friend’s Chicken and Rice Soup

6 chicken breasts cut into bite sized pieces (5 oz each)
3/4 cup shredded carrots
2 cartons of chicken broth
2 cups of water
1/2 cup chopped celery
2 cups brown rice (uncooked)

Put it all in a crock pot and let it cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.

When I poured a bowl for myself, I seasoned mine with Mrs. Dash Garlic and Herbs and that was very yummy. For the dogs, I left there’s plain.

All the ingredients are dog friendly. Feel free to improvise and add what you want, but if you’re going to give some to your dog, remember to stay away from onions and other things that could be hazardous to his health.

Enjoy!

Hmmm. . .my dogs would probably be thrilled with something made especially for them on the elusive kitchen counter that they’re forever trying to get a glimpse of. Pardon the moronic question, but did you serve it to yours warm or cold?
