PawNosh Glass Pet Bowls Several months ago I was introduced to a really cool Kickstarter for pet bowls made from recycled glass.  They’re gorgeous.  I donated $1, shared it on my Facebook page, and then moved on.  Why?  Because the price of these pet bowls was hard to get past. And then I received a PawNosh Pet Bowl in exchange for sharing my thoughts and the price tag makes perfect sense.  OMG, these bowls are gorgeous.  So gorgeous, in fact, that the dogs haven’t had an opportunity to try it out yet.  I’m telling myself that it’s because we have two dogs and one bowl.  I’ve also tried, we have two big dogs and this is one small bowl.  The truth is that I want it.  It’s mine. Before you call me a greedy brat, I did offer to give the pet bowl to my friend and fellow blogger Jessica who writes You Did What with Your Weiner.  She has one of these bowls and two small dogs, so I’d help her complete her set (she already completed it, because she’s AWESOME!).  Damn.  I guess I’ll just have to keep it for myself. Mine mine mine!!! Then I consoled myself with the reminder that one day we’ll be a three dog family again and this will be a great bowl for our new dog.  Of course, that dog will most likely be a large dog too, but that’s just too much thinking for now. Enough about me and my selfish streak… PawNosh Glass Pet Bowls are a better option than our traditional doggy dishes, because the material is safe for food and water, the glass 100% recycled and sourced in California, which makes this a USA Made product.  The bowls were created in glass, because it’s a safe product – easy to clean, easy to keep clean.  When I think of plastic bowls and raw food, I just cringe.  Even the stainless steel bowls we use won’t last forever. PawNosh Glass Pet Bowls Glass Pet Bowls… The PawNosh Glass Pet Bowls are such a better option for all of us, because they stay cleaner than the average pet dish that we buy in the store.  Yes, they’re more expensive, but they’ll last forever. But wait – it’s glass – it’ll break.  Yeah, I don’t think so!  These dishes are not only gorgeous, but they’re crazy heavy too.  So I don’t have to worry about it being scotched around the hardwoods by our dogs when they greedily eat their raw or lap up water, but it’ll do more damage to our floors if I drop it (which will happen). Recycled Glass… I love that the glass is recycled.  I cringe whenever I go to empty the trash and see what we’ve thrown away that we could have recycled.  I truly believe that we’re on our way to making the movie Wally a reality in this country.  So whenever I see a product that uses recycled materials, I want to support that brand.  The quality isn’t lessened by using recycled glass and we’re keeping glass out of our landfills – it’s a win win. It Can’t All be Good… You’re right!  The only downside is the size.  Bigger sizes are coming, but they’re not available yet, and being the greedy blogger that I am, I immediately think I need one for Rodrigo, one for Sydney, one for our newest family member, and one for water (maybe two for water).   When you see these in person (I wish they were on store shelves so you could), you’ll understand why I love them so much.  They’re gorgeous and with the loss of our sweet Blue, I want to pamper our dogs as much as possible. So maybe one or two PawNosh Glass Pet Bowls will work for us.  Or three.  Or maybe (and I like this idea the best) I’ll give it to a local friend who has a small dog and would love a dish like this. Have you come across something that made you think “screw the price, this is AWESOME!”?

Kim, I saw these but didn’t get one because they aren’t big enough for The Boys. They do look really nice though.
    Take care

I think glass is awesome material and these bowls look pretty heavy duty. I still find the combination of glass anything plus a large dog kind of scary. So for now I’m sticking with our stainless steel everything.

I told you that you would like it! Ha, ha. They are surprisingly heavy. My first thought is that “I’ll throw my back out picking that up” but it hasn’t been the case :) You get used to the weight and grow to like it because it means that the bowl won’t accidentally break. And, as you said, they are absolutely gorgeous.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about this bowl. Not only is it pretty beyond belief, I swear Felix drinks more out of this bowl than he ever has before. I attribute it to the fact that I keep it near our sliding glass door and the water in it is ALWAYS cold. It’s actually the perfect size for my two small dogs, since they tend to “dirty” up a big bowl too quickly to make it practical. (Felix won’t drink once the bowl has puggle fur or snot in it. I can’t say I blame him.)

I also LOVE that ‘t’s heavy enough that Felix can’t tip it. He’s a bit of a diva and has been known to tip the bowl when he would prefer a colder, cleaner, fresher bowl. (No joke. I know he looks sweet and fluffy, but he’s kind of a dick sometimes.)

I knew I recognized these – I saw them on Kickstarter! They look awesome and I love the concept behind them. Maybe I’ll look into them once the bigger bowls come out. The only things I ever say “screw the price” for are Apple products. I’m a hardcore Applehead and I almost never care what their products cost. I, of course, usually can’t afford them but I’ll save up for something I love and not ever question the cost!

That is one lovely bowl. And I read somewhere recently that metal bowls aren’t as safe as once believed. And of course with ceramic, you have to be sure of where it’s made because the lead might have lead in it. All of which makes a glass bowl more practical than ever.

I’ve seen this being talked about before and I always thought they looked gorgeous but they are way to small for Sherman and Leroy. Bummer.

Oooooooohh, I love it! Love the blue color and it goes with my house! I might need a bigger one too. I’ve used a ceramic water bowl for all of my dogs and we have had the same one for 16+ years and we haven’t broken it yet, so not worried about that. Tristan has a thing about drinking out of the bowl…her prefers the pool…yuck, but will happily drink out of a plastic kitchen bowl but not the ceramic one…so it might be time for a change…I’ll have to check out the bigger bowls, but the glass is so

These look beautiful! But alas, they are out of our price range. Maybe we’ll be able to splurge on stuff like this once I’m out of grad school. I don’t blame you for wanting a ton though, they do look wonderful!

The bowl is now the water dish for our puppies and it’s perfect, because with the other dishes, they tried to climb in partially and would tip it over each time. This one is too small for them to climb in, but big enough for both of them to drink at once. And it’s too heavy for them to tip over or move. Now I’m wondering if we can have a big one.
