Treat Yourself to a Unique Gift of an Xperience Days Experience

The month of May was crap.  The experience did help me shape what I’m going to do with Keep the Tail Wagging and introduced me to some wonderful people (like Dr. Lander of the ASPCA, the veterinarian team who helped Riley, and the crew at Motley Zoo Animal Rescue), but I think we really need to do something fun.

Xperience Days is a site that offers us the opportunity to give a unique gift to someone we love or to give ourselves a unique experience.  Scrolling around their site, I naturally looked for Adventure Gifts that would incorporate our dogs.  I didn’t find any today and was going to pass on hosting a giveaway, but decided to check out the site a little more.

Mount St. Helens Helicopter Tour for Two – I remember when Mount St. Helens errupted.  There was ash everywhere in Portland, OR and we had to wear face masks.  It was mind boggling that we lived near a volcano and this was the first time that I saw the snow capped mountains as other than pretty hills in the distance.  Today, you can buy small figurines made from the volcano ash down at Seattle’s Pike Place Market.

Pike Place Market Culinary Tour for Two – this one would be so much fun, because I am a food whore (my girlfriend prefers the term “foodie”).  I would love to take my boyfriend, but one of my best girls would get a huge kick out of this.

Seattle Hot Air Balloon Ride for Two – now this one appeals to the photographer in me.  The pictures I can take of the balloon alone excite my creative side.  I think it’s romantic and my boyfriend will have a lot of fun.

Intro to Sailing in Gig Harbor – now this one would be perfect for me and my boyfriend.  I have no interest in sailing, but he does and watching him in his element would be so much fun.  He hasn’t been sailing in years and this would be a fantastic surprise.

Sea Kayaking Tour of the San Juan Islands – I have a friend whose husband kayaked along the Pacific Coast; his plan was to either kayak from Washington to California or vice versa.  He didn’t get to complete his trip, but the fact that he started and got pretty far is impressive.  His story sparked an interest in kayaking and when I saw this adventure, I could see my boyfriend and I doing this together.

What I love about the adventures I found locally are that many of them will allow us to include my stepson too.  He’s 15 and I would love to see him experience something fun and new before he gets too old to hang out with us (we’re getting close).  I’d even give up my place in the “for Two” adventures to give my boyfriend and his son a wonderful experience and opportunity to create great memories.
