URGENT DOG RESCUE NEED: a request from FurKidz 911 Connection…
“CAN ANYONE HELP? This is Breena! She’s a 7 year old Pit Bull and she is such a love! She was brought into Petcare a few days ago. Her owners wanted to do a convenience euthanasia, claiming that she suddenly developed separation anxiety (though they have had her since she was a puppy without any problems). They insisted that it be done immediately. After a long phone consult, Amanda was able to con…vince them to sign over custody of Breena. Here’s where we run into a problem– Amanda has three dogs of her own and cannot bring another into the house. Our Boarding Manager is absolutely in love with Breena and is planning to adopt her. She even brought in her other dog to test with Breena, and they get along great! BUT, she is currently renting. She’s actively looking for her own home, but most houses in her budget are bank owned or short-sale, so it may be several months before she is able to officially adopt Breena. Petcare’s policy doesn’t allow us to keep Breena for more than a few days, and her time expires at the beginning of this week. If we cannot find a temporary foster home for her, we will have to take her to a shelter… and, as many of us know, Pit Bulls and shelters aren’t an awesome combination. If anyone knows of someone able to give this girl a chance, please let me know ASAP! THANK YOU!”

I hope the dog finds a decent home, its a shame when I read things like this dogs in shelter homes. I find it heart breaking that someone will give their dog up.

I know exactly how you feel, Rick. I couldn’t imagine giving up our dogs. They’re family members so we will always make sure that we can keep them close to us always!
